The Windrose East neighborhood is just a little north of Downtown Chandler. To its east is N. Arizona Ave. and traversing the neighborhood right in the middle from west to east is W. Knox Rd. The Windrose East area has several top-rated public schools. Among these are Tarpon Springs Fundamental Elementary School and Sunset Hills Elementary School. Then there’s John M. Andersen Junior High School for middle school. For high school, they have Chandler High School.
Amenities
There are several grocery stores in Windrose. Some of the favorites are Metropolitan Market, Champion Grocery, and Trader Joe’s. To the southeast of Windrose East are several establishments. These include the Arizona Avenue Animal Clinic, Get Sassy Beauty Supply, Shane’s Pizza on 87, and Long Wong’s.
The section where Windrose East is located is where many of Chandler’s auto shops are situated. Towards the east are Big 3 Automart Superstore and Byrider Chandler, a couple of used car dealers. Near Byrider are a couple of auto body shops, Gateway Auto Body and Paint, and Chandler Auto Body. Several blocks away is U-Haul Chandler Truck Sales another dealer.
The food scene is not as active in the immediate area with just Shane’s Pizza, Long Wong’s, and American Way Smokehouse within close proximity. However, just a little further north are several restaurants. Wine lovers enjoy time spent at Downtime Wines, Inc. People that like good old American breakfasts love Hoosier Cafe.
