Desert Breeze Park is one of the largest parks in Chandler, Arizona. The heart of the park is Desert Breeze Lake. You can go for a walk on the trails around the lake. You could let the kids play on the park’s splash pad. The park has several tennis courts, baseball fields and soccer fields. And your kids will enjoy the massive Desert Breeze Playground.
The park is home to the Desert Breeze Railroad. This mini-railroad is a family friendly adventure. Note that you do have to pay to ride it. If you’re a fan of this railroad, you may want to hit the Arizona Railway Museum that’s also located in Chandler. The Desert Breeze Railroad may be hard to ride on, because it is so often booked for birthday parties.
This park is so large it has five different parking lots. There is one at the north end and one on the south end. A separate parking lot is located on the west side off Desert Breeze Parkway. North Desert Breeze Boulevard East runs along the northeastern edge of the park, separating it from Kyrene Aprende Middle School and Kyrene de las Brisas Elementary School. Know that the track and field facilities to the northeast of the schools are intended mostly for student use. There is a parking lot on the far east side of the park accessed via North Desert Breeze Boulevard, and you’d take that road to get to Desert Breeze Railroad. If you take North Desert Breeze Boulevard West south, you can access a parking lot on the far southern end of the park. That parking lot sits next to Detroit Street across from the Chandler Police Department. This parking lot gives you easy access to the walking trails that work their way through the southern end of the park.
This park is pet friendly. There is a dog park on the premises.
